Floris Smeets Photography

I’m Floris Smeets — nature photographer, tour leader, ecologist, and Sony Europe Imaging Ambassador. Born in the Netherlands and based in Norway since 2010. I’ve dedicated my life to capturing the beauty of wild places with my photography and sharing that passion with others. Since 2014, I’ve been working full-time as a nature and wildlife photography guide, leading tours and workshops across some of the world’s most awe-inspiring locations. From polar bears in Svalbard to penguins in the Falklands, and iconic birdlife in my home region of Norway.

Through my company, Photo Tours Norway, I offer unique, small-group experiences designed to maximize photo opportunities while respecting nature. With every tour, my goal is to inspire others, teach valuable skills, and tell meaningful stories through photography.
